We are piloting a workshop Called "Creating your Public Story." A good story has the potential to inspire and engage people to act for a common purpose. Developed from the work of Marshall Ganz, the purpose of this workshop is to describe public narrative as a tool for social change and assist participants in the creation of their own public narrative. Whether you are new to social action or you are a long time activist, this workshop will help you define your values and translate those values into a compelling story.
By attending this workshop, participants will:
- Develop a story to engage others in the issue that is important to you
- Identify ways to share his/her story in a compelling way.
- Practice their public story in a safe and supportive environment
This training was adapted from the work of Marshall Ganz and the facilitators (Mary Hannah Henderson and Gloria DiFulvio) would love for you to attend this session on Jan. 27th. This will be our first time conducting this workshop together (though we have each taught this work for a number of years) and we will be asking for your feedback to help us make this better!
