A public hearing on the Medicare for All bills will be held on Tuesday, June 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00AM-1:00PM in Room B-1 at the Statehouse in Boston.  The hearing is held by the Joint Committee on Health Care Financingand their report – due not later than March 28, 2018 — will determine whether the bills continue on for debate by the full Legislature or die in committee, as they have in the past.  Please plan to attend the hearing if you possibly can and consider offering testimony at the hearing.  If you would like to be included to testify on the panels being organized by Mass-Care, contact Ture Trumbull at director@Masscare.org.

If you would like to submit written testimony:
Send written testimony to the chairs of the Health Care Financing Committee.  Jeffrey Sanchez is the House chair at Jeffrey.sanchez@mahouse.gov.   James Welch is the Senate chair at James.Welch@masenate.gov.    Written testimony can be submitted at any time before or after the public hearing until the Committee makes its final report.  Please encourage a “favorable” report on the Medicare for All bills:  S619 and H2987 and the “benchmark” bills:  S610 and H596.  A link to the full text for the bills can be found at https://malegislature.gov/Bills
